A big, warm, floral welcome to the website for Alnwick in Bloom. Our aim is to transform the town of Alnwick using flower power. We want our market town in Northumberland, England, to be as beautiful and litter free as possible for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

Alnwick In Bloom's quest to improve the town continues to grow and 2010 will be another important year in its distinguished history. We again teamed up with the Alnwick Flower Show Committee for a fourth year to present another very successful Alnwick Spring Show which was held at The Alnwick Garden on Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, 2010. Entries were up significantly and crowds flocked to see the beautiful displays of daffodils, tulips and other spring flowers. Her Grace The Duchess of Northumberland kindly presented trophies and rosettes to the prize-winners on the Saturday afternoon.

We hope to build on an excellent performance in the 2009 Northumbria in Bloom competition, which saw Alnwick gain a silver gilt award and finish behind gold medal winner Sedgefield in the Best Small Town category. Other silver gilt medal winners were Corbridge, Haltwhistle, Nunthorpe, Ponteland and Whitburn.

Alnwick In Bloom works closely with the Alnwick Community Development Trust, Alnwick Town Council and Northumberland County Council, as well as many of the businesses in the town.
